Get Financial Support to Train for a New Career
The Better Jobs Ontario program (formerly known as Second Career) provides up to $28,000 in funding to help eligible applicants train for in-demand jobs.
Funding can be used for tuition, books, student fees, transportation, and other costs.
Am I Eligible?
You may qualify for funding if:
- You were laid off and either have not been working or have been working a temporary job just to make ends meet
- You weren’t laid off but have been unemployed for at least six months and are in a low-income household
The program now offers support for a broader range of applicants, including gig workers, newcomers, young people, and individuals receiving social assistance.
